As you age, the outer layer of the tissue — your epidermis — begins to thin, and the number of melanocytes (cells that contain pigment) begins to decrease. The melanocytes that remain then become larger, which is what leads to age spots.
Underneath the surface of your skin, your elastin and collagen fibers begin to break down, causing your skin to sag and wrinkle without these supportive fibers.
The end result of these changes is that your skin succumbs to gravity and begins to droop at the same time as surface blemishes increase.
To fight back against the aging processes in your skin, we offer Renuvion J-plasma treatments, which rejuvenate your skin using two different energies: helium-derived plasma and radiofrequency (RF) energy.
