Breast
Reductions
Large, heavy breasts can be painful due to excessive weight and often cause problems such as back pain and soreness in the shoulders from bra straps which cut into the skin.
Size can be reduced by the removal of excess tissue in combination
with reshaping. The incisions are similar to those used for a more
extensive lift.
Your surgeon will discuss the procedures possible and explain the
technique that may be best suited for you. Because of the adverse symptoms associated with abnormally large breasts (pain; limitation of activities), insurance will often cover some or all of the financing for this type of surgery. Be sure to check with your insurance provider. We also offer finance options in our office that our staff would be happy to discuss with you.
Keeping You Comfortable A surgical dressing protects the incisions. Some
swelling, bruising and minor discomfort may be experienced for several days after the surgery. Discomfort can be easily controlled with pain medication.
